NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) may cause severe Hypokalemia caused by the ibuprofen induced renal tubular acidosis, headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, constipation, decreased ability to cough, gastric upset with abdominal pain, heart burn, nausea and vomiting, pruritis and other skin reactions and vision disturbances can occur. Other rare side effects of NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) are tinnitus, thrombocytopenia, impaired kidney functions, exfoliative dermatitis, epidermal necrolysis, drug induced respiratory distress, thrombocytopenia and anaphylaxis to the drug.
How should I take NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate)?
The recommended oral dosage for the NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) is two tablets daily. NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) dosage can be increased to 1 – 2 tablets every 4 hours to a maximum of 6 tablets in 24 hours. Do not chew the tablet or keep NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) in your mouth to melt or dissolve. After taking NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) you must wait at least 30 minutes BEFORE: 1) lying down. You may sit, stand, or do normal activities like read the newspaper or take a walk. 2) Eating or drinking anything except plain water.

To treat your problems or keep you away from getting these symptoms, you have to take NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) as often and in the way NUROFEN PLUS (Ibuprofen and Codeine Phosphate) as prescribed by your Physician.
